Telephone socket Wiring

Post by Mook » Mon Jul 28, 2008 1:10 pm

Hei,

I'm planning to add a new telephone socket in my apartment. Does anyone have a wiring guide for Finnish telephones? I've bought an RJ11 socket from Gubbe Dagis (Clas Ohlson) so I just need to splice into a bit of telephone line and make a T.

Now, I could dismantle an existing socket (and adaptor), and I'll probably have to do it anyway since the wiring looks older than I am, but it would be good to have something to reference...

well... the gist of it is that theres so many pairs... and usually one of them is connected... so you just need to try which two give a beep... *usually* depending what ancient age its from the first pair is blue&white 2nd pair orange&white 3rd is green&white... was it black and purple... anyways starting with the blues...
