Schwarzwälder kirschtorte, my favourite Image ... why were you upside down when you took the photo?

Were the cherries fresh / bottled / tinned or was it cherry jam?

I wasn't upside down. Dh took the picture and that's just how he was holding the plate. The cherries were fresh. I cooked them to make the filling.

Nice!

I was visiting my kid brother in Cyprus a couple of weeks ago, went in a couple of local "bakeries" one of which was at the end of his road... the selection puts Stockmann's deli to shame.

Settled for a good old fashioned UK style apple pie. Fantastic! I'd weigh about 300 lbs if I moved there.
