I am now looking like a nerd so time to visit a barber.
I don't want to book an appointment, just go there and sit on the cockpit if there's no queue.
Any idea where such barber service available near Iso Omena, Espoo? or in Helsinki city center?
Thanks in advance

If you can go at a quiet time, probably any hairdresser - this week I went at 9:30 to my local place in Ruoholahti, and skipped lunch. Place was empty and service straight away. Good cut, too!

Did you find anywhere?
Ideally I'd like a good barber in Tapiola that I'd be able to just walk in and get my hair cut... But I'd be willing to travel a little bit further. I really just need my hair trimmed, and I've beet astounded at the apparent cost of haircuts here!

There is one in Matinkyläntie, near the koti pizza (head south from Iso Omena). No idea what it's worth, never been there.

The cheapest my dh found in our bit of Espoo was the one in Kodin Ykkonen, in the Merituuli mall. The entrance to the salon is in between the checkout part of Kodin1 and the back entrance to Hesburger. You need an appointment but it's fairly quick and according to my SO the best value for money near us. I'll check how much he paid last time, probably around 20e (I think I paid 15e for one of the kids).

Nope. But I think she speaks Russian!
My kids seem to do OK. The youngest had a really good haircut just before Helsinki Cup. Still looks good.

But how about Tapiola?
I noticed one of the ones at the WTC last week. Can just pop into those, and ask to get my hair cut?

Hairdressers are shocking in Finland. I have been here 4 years....and I have only had one good cut. The price is way out to...20 to 25 euros for a !"#¤% cut! I feel robbed everytime I go.
Thanks for the info everyone!
Best of luck!

Roo
