Some interesting groups drawn for the big cup yesterday.
How must the BATE Borisov players be feeling this morning after being grouped with Real, Juve and Zenit?

Now I'm not bitter or owt :P , but how the ferruck did John 'Big Man' Terry and Fat Fwank get those awards for best defender and midfielder last night?
They're not even the best Chelsea player in their respective positions.
Sympathy votes, gotta be. Twunts.

CP i'll begrudgingly support Honka during their merry run in the Uefa cup.

Hopefully you draw AC Milan. Seeing Maldini, Kaka and perhaps the mighty Senderos(loan pending) in the flesh in Espoo would be bewildering.

Or Everton so we can laugh at Salopian and Big J Lord as you put them to the sword.

If you draw Tottenham, you're on your own.

:?: I thought you're a Gooner? Why on his own against the Y... I mean, against the Spuds? Surely you'd be happy to see them get rolled.

As for the mighty Blues, I seem to remember us doing reasonably well in the UEFA last year, beating the eventual winners (Zenit) during the groups stages, before going out on pens to Fiorentina in the last 16. I can see us getting through the group stages again this year, mainly because Moyes is good at getting his teams to grind out points in a league situation (as opposed to winning one off knockout games) so ... but mainly because the opposition in the UEFA is generally piss-poor.

@#$% me, we're about to sign Saha. didn't see that one coming.

I've only seen the Spuds at Highbury, and once when my spuds-crazy-b-in-law took me to WHL on is b'day *spits* i might be sick on an espoo-ite if i go.
I think you've got a good chance, but injuries don't help, Cahill seems to keep getting injured, you sold AJ and now you're bringing in Darren Anderton, sorry Louis Saha! He won't pass the medical though so your forward line looks a bit thin. Deadline closes soon...

Ok, that makes sense, but if the RS turned up in Finland, I'd be in there supporting the opposition.

Looking forward to seeing Zenit beat the Scum in the Super Cup tonight.

I reckon there's no chance any other team would agree to playing a waffa cup game in our Meccano stadium. Probably Myyrmäki, or maybe the Finnair since HJK are having their evenings off this year  .
Would love to get Everton, just to see the panic on the faces of our blue friends when they get run close. :D

I hear Lord Wrigley just wants the petrol money for driving Saha down the East Lancs road, unless there's a late bid of £68 million from Kegger's barcodes.
Either way, looks like the spuds will soon be losing their third striker of the summer, after selling both Robbie keane and his great big fat arse to the shoit.

Portsmouth v Vitoria SC (Portugal)
Manchester City v AC Omonia (Cyprus)
Nancy (France) v Motherwell
Everton v Standard Liege (Belgium)
Litex Lovech (Bulgaria) v Aston Villa
Tottenham v Wisla Krakow (Poland)

so we get the team that ran the Red Shyte close.

I don't think they'll be TOO unhappy at getting Racing.

Fun tie with the blue half getting a chance to show how sub-standard Liege are. Or not. :)

Racing Santander ... not even the real Racing... that's like drawing United... and Leeds turn up.

Didn't realise the draw had been done already.
The link I clicked on showed only the groups from which the teams would be picked.
Thought the dream Everton tie was still on.... :(
