What is the cheapest way to call lankaverkko (landlines?)

Post by luckykitty » Sat Aug 30, 2008 12:29 am

Hi, eek my mobile phone bill gets expensive when i call landlines, like especially if i have to wait a long time, is there a cheaper way to call them? should i use skype next time :S

I think with my phone provider, talking an hour to a land line costs about 4euros or so.

I gave up the landline as it was only spammers.. err.. telemarketers calling me... I once abused one so badly he called me back and berated me... I *do* have a landlne at the cottage but thats mmore an emergency support for the interweb..

yeah, also http://www.hotcom.fi as for internal calls in Finbland you are stuck with the local phone orifice... this is Finland - obey(=pay) or die ;)

Oh hey, a good trick with telemarketeers is: "What? (repeat for effect). Sorry I only speak English." :DDD
That one always works!! Somehow they are too embarrassed to market to you in English, and they proceed to wish you a nice day and hang up.
Now whether I know Finnish or not, that is the correct response :DD!

I was yesterday just thinking: it was no problem to not speak Finnish if you come to buy something, it was a big problem if I wanted something from them
