Anyone know where I can buy Monterey Jack cheese in the area or something that is similar to replace it? Wanted to make some yummie sour cream chicken enchiladas this weekend...Cinco de Mayo!

I'm doing Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, too! Chicken enchiladas, in fact. How funny!
I think Pohjanpoika kerma juusto was recommended by smilesalot as the closest thing.

I've found that the El Dorado brand of kermajuusto is fairly close and smooth. It's the closest I've found to white cheeses.
I've found it at Siwa markets.

hey,
what are you using for your sour cream. I tried smetana and it's just not the same!
Thanks

Kermaviili for this Texan. Creme fraiche is too runny.
