Importing from USA buying on internet. TAXES Info please

Moi!! I would like to know some info about when i do shoppin on USA amazon.com (example) being in finland... When ($$$) my purchases are eligible for pay import taxes?

my experience i did buy an mp3 player from Ebay ( hong kong ) and then i received a notice from custom telling me to come and open the box for them . i called them i said what is in the box : it was mp4 player = so i had to pay taxes for the following things = mp3 player , radio FM , usb stick functionality ......

i just told them you can take it to custom storage ..... the price went to high

try to purchase things from EU .!

I don't think amazon.co.uk ships electronics outside the UK mainland. Shame though as the £ has taken a dive against the euro in the last few days. But I guess there are other internet companies who ship within the EU.

At least Amazon.de does not do that.

Only Germany and Austria.

My guess is electronics are never delivered beyond immediate areas.

Hi guys, I have a similar question. I wantr to order a certain TV channels internet subscription from a German company. To be able to watch it from TV set I need a special device, which will be included in the order of the subscriptiom, shipped to me from Germany.

What do you think will be the process regarding Tulli and additional cost? The price of the device itself stated in the order package is 100eur.

There are no tolls on things ordered within the EU.

I have a similar experience that buying a cassett-adapter for my old car vie ebay from Hongkong. I remembered that if the total value of importing does not exceed 40 euros or so, no tax and directly posted to my home.

B.T.W, my cassett-adapter is 3euros

count the (price + freight) = 22% vat = payment... the customs fee is irrelevant - 1 or 5 percent. you need to know - they need it for their system - wood instruments- hawaiian guitar-ukuleles- 100100010303404505044000 XYZ 10020220303 customs code. then you either pay or not. I buy stuff all the time over ebay in USA andjust add about 30% on top in cash after the price and freight and thats your price in Finland - if it gets snagged.
