Re: postal service
I recently paid almost 50e for an EMS express envelope to Australia and it weighed 200g!
It was insured and all but nevertheless bloody expensive.

Re: postal service
Express service always seems to take longer than normal post. To confirm this, I did a test where I sent to identical packages to England, one by express and one by normal post. The normal post was a couple of days quicker. I never use express any more; why pay more for a slower service?

Re: postal service
It wouldn't be the Finnish Post that caused it to be late, it'd would have been something else, like the flight the mail goes on or the English Post. I know the boss of the Expres/Special Mail here in Finland. They have an insanely strict schedule in Posti concerning this kind of a mail (ok, all mail too, but especially this type of mail). But you are correct, it's freaking expensive!

Because it wasn't slower at all, it arrived in Australia in 4 days.DMC wrote:Express service always seems to take longer than normal post. Plus the contents were valuable and needed to be insured, losing them would have cost me 700e.
