Lobsters or Crabs

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a place in Finland where you could buy entire Lobsters or Crabs?? Just though Id ask as I have been here for almost a year and a half and have yet to seea live lobster or crab tank? Thanks everyone.

Sorry mate, but doesn't that even slightly hint anything to you

Lobsters are not available on the same scale in Europe as in the states, even less so in Finland. But of course not having noticed this in a year and a half might possibly have helped you realise this?

I see those kind of tanks *daily*... no, I *could* see those kinds of tanks... the big places in Tammisto etc... Stockmann's... actually the RIMI in Tallinn in the harbor or Ülemiste... is by far a "rotating in Anttila" moment for me.

of course you will pay your ass off, but I guess you're already used to that?

BTW someone been to the Tammisto area could say if the "fish counter" there in K-Market Jättijako is the largest one still... only place I've seen a whole tuna... and sharks...

Vexi in Mankkaa used to have live lobster in a tank.

IIRC it *was* Vexi in Tammisto when the place opened originally, but the merchant moved to Mankkaa... and he is the "fish guy" definitely.

Oh boy I just hit a sour spot with my wife. She is insisting that it must be animal cruelty to throw a live lobster in a pot of boiling water here in Finland.

She says I cant boil the guy in our house. Oh no..

Ex-Vexi, nowadays just K-market, in Mankkaa doesn´t have the lobster tank any more. But they have lobsters in ice, so they are dead already... Plus there are all kinds of crabs and lobster in freezers, so no killing necessary.
