It was just him shooting at a target. I only viewed two but they all looked pretty much the same. Then there was some babble about war and how life is a war etc.
Wumpscut is the band and War is the song. So he just babbled some song's lyrics.

"At least 3 dead, several, including the shooter, seriously injured."

People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.

Finnish police confirm several dead in school shooting
23.9.2008 at 13:41

Police in the western Finland town of Kauhajoki said at a news conference Tuesday that several people had died in a shooting spree at a local vocational school.

The police did not give an estimate of the number of dead and wounded.

A hospital in nearby Seinäjoki said the suspected shooter was taken to the Tampere University Hospital, adding he had a gunshot wound to the head.

This is the fist time I hear about this. I have not had the radio on.

It is just unbelievable. Something that just does not happen. Even when it has already happened.

I understand suicide. But cannot people just kill themselves and let others be.

For god sake, can't believe something like this has happened again :(

Will there be proper debate on gun ownership now in Finland?

How about a debate on mental health services, depression, lack of communication skills and a culture that promotes alcohol abuse instead?

Not that I am pro-gun in any way, shape, or form, but the above seem to be HUGE issues here in Finland.

I am anti-guns - if that is the correct way to phrase it. But i think the problem is the mental state of the shooter, not the weapon.

Ah okay, I only got a quick glimpse of the words after viewing the videos before the account was suspended.

Well without a shadow of doubt the "powers that be" will be "investigating the whys and wherefores" for some months to come.
Not just why he got so mentaly screwed up but what should, and must, be done to prevent a fourth crazed Finnish youth killing.
(Dont forget Myyrmäki).

Is it something unique about Finland..the education...the weather...the loneliness.....or what?

Tell me something... Do you, or anyone on here have any explanation as to why so many people are so introverted in Finland?

I'm not being cheeky by asking and it's not a rhetorical question... I'm genuinely curious as to why it's the case in Finland and not, say, here in Scotland.

Scotland and Finland are similar in that we're both small population countries, and here we have many small villages also but people up here tend to be cheery. They're quiet, but normally very cheery and happy and social.

Was just wondering what the key difference is in Finland which makes so many feel so introverted?

I'm pretty sure my cousin works at that hospital - I didn't realise Kauhajoki was so close to Tampere

My random layperson's guess as a foreigner? My own opinion, your mileage may vary... What do the natives say?

Possibly shyness is somewhat genetic, it's freaking dark here and it makes you grumpy, small population/large country, self-sufficiency highly valued (practically a sin to ask for help, ever), the alcohol method of getting in touch with your feelings. Personally, I find it in many ways to be a rather macho culture. Never ask for help. Never say how you feel. Never complain. Don't admit you need other people (it's seen as weakness). Etc.
