I think you can... I've been looking to finding these energy saving lamps and they had all kinds bulbs with of spectrums and whatnot... but I still need to find some that resemble the old "candle bulbs" so I can use them in my chandeliers...

I couldn't find any at Bauhaus in person and Clas Ohlson doesn't list them on their website.raamv wrote:Ikea, Bauhaus, Biltema and Clas Ohlson all carry these bulbs..

They *do* have these energy saving bulbs, or fluorescent, but that's not what I'm interested in. The full spectrum bulbs show more of the spectrum and help your body produce vitamin D.

If you are worried about vitamin D, drink milk. It's added to it over here.rob34 wrote:I couldn't find any at Bauhaus in person and Clas Ohlson doesn't list them on their website.raamv wrote:Ikea, Bauhaus, Biltema and Clas Ohlson all carry these bulbs..

I find it unlikely you can produce most vitamin D you need with spectrum bulbs.

yes, the plant lamps and variety of spectral lamps are next to the energy savers, so you can put your feet in a bucket and photosynthesize....rob34 wrote: The full spectrum bulbs show more of the spectrum and help your body produce vitamin D.

I am very happy with this one (actually I have 3304 which is without digital controls of time and light intensity): http://www.consumer.philips.com/consume ... ght+HF3309
So, I would take the paved road.

If you are talking about the lamps that are used (also) for plants,
I've seen those lamps at least in Prisma and in HongKong.
Just one or two types but they are there.
