dumping unused furniture

Post by Dolphin_fin » Thu Aug 21, 2008 9:28 am

I have an armchair (single seater sofa) at home which I would like to get rid of....does anybody know how and where can I dump it?....I don't have a car so it's difficult for me to do it myself?? are there any special agencies for this purpose, who can take it away from my place?? I mean there has to be some way and place where people can dump their unused furniture and other stuff...please suggest.

thanx

On the back of the door of your rubbish bin shed there should be a notice giving you the telephone number for advice on troublesome waste disposal.

I did a google and found this..

People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.

Not sure how much they charge but you could call them and ask (are you in Helsinki/Vantaa/Espoo region?)

If it is usable, then contact your local Red Cross or similar. Some "retraining" work places take furniture that need some repairs.

You can also try Helsinki Freecycle. I've managed to get rid of all of my
unwanted furniture that I've posted about that way. And make sure you
specify that the person wanting it has to find a way to get it home. :)
