Cheapest way to send a package to Europe
Cheapest way to send a package to Europe
Moi!
Does anybody have tips concerning the cheapest way to send a package to Europe. I am talking about packages of 3 to 10 KG?
My mom just sent me a package from Belgium via TNT De Post (Dutch company) - 22€ for 10 KG. That is why I started wondering if we have those kind of "cheaper" options also in Finland.
Kiitos! Thanks!
Gigi

Dunno if anything cheaper than what the Posti offers exists...
http://www.posti.fi/english/index.html
...but TNT operates here as well http://www.tnt.com/express/fi_fi/site/home.html and Fedex http://fedex.com/fi/
haven't compared prices though...

Have you tried DHL ?

Re: Cheapest way to send a package to Europe
I have been using Posti for over 10 years and that has always been the cheapest.
FedEx used to have (about 4-5 years ago) very good offer for 10 and 25KG boxes, but they have gone up nowadays too.
Checked the TNT website, but they don't have those "Europe" offers in Finland as they have in Belgium.
And DHL... well they are really expensive and they have had problems in the past finding the village where I live (as a result my parcels have been more then a week too late)
But thanks anyway!

If posti charges about e26 for 10kgs to Belgium (economy package), is that so much more expensive?
My impression is that lately postage costs have gone up everywhere.

It's 35€, but indeed it isn't maybe THAT more expensive...inkku wrote:f posti charges about e26 for 10kgs to Belgium (economy package)
I was just wondering if there exist even cheaper options...

Sorry, i guess i must have looked at the prices for companies.Gigi wrote:It's 35€, but indeed it isn't maybe THAT more expensive...inkku wrote:f posti charges about e26 for 10kgs to Belgium (economy package)

I'm currently in the uk, i have been looking for package prices to finland... double that much. To belgium 10 kgs from the uk would be about e50.... So the belgium postage prices seem to be a deal. My impression is post prices have gone up quite a lot lately.
