Hello,
I'm a permanent resident in Finland living in Helsinki, i don't have a car and i have never been in Kuopio City. With all this yesterday when i have come home from work i have found a letter from Helsingin Ulosottovirasto where it's written that i have to pay 60 Euro for "illegal park of my car" in Kuopio City...fun no ?

...Whatever i will wait until monday and i will call them in Kuopio to have some explanations of this story ! If it was 1 april it was perfect

Nothing fun on this. Do you have car registered on your name? if no then go to police for ident theft and if yes try first look if they misprinted number. Nothing to laugh you can be in deep !"#¤%.
In best case this is human error but in bad case..

Call them first to see if they have the name and address and Social wrong..BUT still report this to police as it seems strange that they have your Social security..
( Tell the Kuopio's municipality or whatever no they gave that you are going to report this to the police to make sure that your Identity have not been stolen)..
These days, you never know who you are...err Who might be you..

Well there apparently is a car somewhere with someone whose social security number is if not the same then close enough. They get the number from the register plate, and then they print the name and address according to the number which they got from the register plate. I would call the Helsinki Ulosotto first though. They could probably check the thing with AKE.

This reminds me of the guy who received a parking ticket as he supposedly did not set the parking disc correctly. The fine was given at 2215 on a one hour parking lot, and the ticket writer stated on the fine the parking disc was set on "1000".
Now, is there any parking disc out there that is divided into 24 hours? I can't recall having seen one of such a kind. If the arrival time is set to 1000 then it should meanr 2200 as well, as any normal parking disc is divided into 12 hours. I always thought that is obvious to everyone. Especially for someone who earns his daily bread by writing parking tickets.
And this is no urban legend, I personally know the guy to whom this happened. I suppose he could clear it up as there should be at least some people in the City Administration of Turku who know at least that much about parking discs...

I have two parking discs and both say 10 as well as 22 (under the 10).
