The OP ordered some goods and then cancelled the order.

I wonder if one went to the manager and politely requested if one could cancel the order would there have been all this agro? If the manager thought he could sell the goods to another customer within a few weeks that is.
Suomi Soffa is not a small back street company they have other outlets..but ..perhaps the goods were part of since closed special offer.
My last wish is for you :D to order something from SS and then to cancell it. Let me know what you think then about them.I hope ones will happend to you, too.
I don't give you any chance. You cant belive how polite I was but nothing :( ... so ...

With this ongoing discussion, a general question. If you have forgotten to pay your bills, and IJ or Lindroff sends you bill, does it already have any indication in your credit history?

Two times this year, I had to pay to IJ / Lindroff. I paid them time, and no complains from my side, as it was case of misplaced invoice. But I don't know if it was indicated in my credit history.

Nowadays some companies don't even sent the first reminder themselves, but let the collecting agency in as soon as the date on the invoice expires. So, no, the fist letter from IJ and the like should not harm your reputation (except with the originating company).

To get a mark in your credit history you need a judgment from a court. Of course single company may decide to demand payment in advance if you keep on forgetting their bills.
