yea, u r right. But even with the scholarship which is abt 5000pound (total cost 16000) it's still too expensive bcoz the pound is strong. I think I'd rather go to Holland's Erasmus U which is one of e best business U in EU.

Why is it that all of u seem to imply that going to finland has more disadvantages than benefits (is it because u don't like living there)?

They indeed have a good reputation.

the people who live here can see the disadvantages clearly.
- short summers
- long dark winters
- struggling economy
- introvert population
- mosquitoes
- high tax
- higher alcohol prices
If the benefits are not your cup of tee, you won't like it here
- silence
- almost empty roads
- trees, trees, trees and more trees
- snow
- good quality berries
- Lordi

The Chinese have the saying " Be careful of what you ask for...for you might get it"..
and thats the thing with Finland... You might think of things that are not beneficial...but they are from a different perspective..
but then you have to compromise in other ways and might not like it the way the benefits are derived..

what an £$€¤%& ...... it's because you have big dream and people here are giving their subjective answers/views on how your inflated dream might turn out when you actually come here.... now it's your judgement. for @#$% sake, why would people live here if they don't see benefits of living here? :x

The OP doesn't have a degree of any sort?

HSE seems to offer only 1 Bachelors degree course in English in Helsinki ---> http://www.hse.fi/EN/education/programs ... stech_bsc/

A full list of English language programmes is here http://www.hse.fi/EN/education/msc/programs/ but it seems you need a Bachelors degree to get onto most of them.

Generally a Bachelors degree on it's own is not much use, the Masters degree is the standard in Finland. I have no idea how well respected HSE is outside of Finland, but practically the name may disappear when it becomes part of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aalto_University in August 2009.

rinso, is Holland's RSM really that good? Much more famous than HSE? ( I may end up going there, but it charges 7000 euro/yr)

rabs, I'm sorry if I offended u. Yes, it depends on my judgment now, that is why I'm asking ur opinion, peop who actually live there, I can't live there just to know what it's like. However, do u not see a reason why the posts have not been very favourable towards Finland's living conditions?

No, I'm still in High school, graduating in Dec, HSE offers finance and int'l biz in English, and yes, I'm intending to get a master later, but the best graduate schools want students fr the best undergrad programs too.

If the Price for education in Holland is the same as the price for frugal living ( Showing €6000 proof for living per year), then HSE and now called as Aalto University is pretty good especially if you are looking for master's degree and beyond..

Er...if you want to be taken seriously, maybe you should learn how to write in English rather than text-speak. I don't care what your SAT scores are; you sound like a (rather arrogant) moron.

And Raamv, it's not Aalto University yet (hopefully my diploma will say "TaiK" and not "Aalto").

i do not agree with you, i think that was an unnecessary insult. Many of us are not native English speakers, English here is used as a lingua franca. And talking about arrogance.....
