How about a bank transfer?
Probably easier, safer and cheaper.
I've done several payments from Finland - US.

Myeah, then you don't have much of a choice.
I don't know if For ex does money orders. I don't have personal experience with money orders.
If you're in Helsinki, there's one in the Central Railway Station.
There's a Fexco / Western Union on Itäkatu 1 in Helsinki.
Here's something international that could work:
http://www.global-money-transfer.com/
Don't know about them, though, you gotta check that out.
If you're located elsewhere:

Western union are pretty good.
The senders money is available immediately from the receivers local office once you have told them the code word or number they have to give with their ID. So a mate can text you in trouble and they can be eating again as quick as you can get to the offices of Western union.

i dont think i can use western union because im sending the money to a company and i dont have their account number

the money is going to 'the collegeboard' in the us to pay the registration for the SAT's. According to the website it only accepts credit card (which i dont have) or 'swift' check.

which SWIFT-cheque is not "money order" . you need to go to a real bank to get one, where you have an account. price is something like 10-15 euros.
and remember to write it out E*X*A*C*T*L*Y as they want in the instruction booklet as they're really pissy on formalities.
theres NORDEAs =>

I cant read finnish and dont know what a 'swift' cheque is. The banks use the SWIFT system to transfer money to other bank accounts globally but you dont have a destination bank account and the method is nothing to do with checks.
As far as i know you cannot get international money orders in Finland - which is why i ended up using Western Union - that allows cash pick up.
The best option must be to find somebody who will pay online for you.

well i read on the collegeboard website in english that they except credit card or money order, so i figured a swift check was a money order. Finnish is not my first language.
