Price comparison for coffee in Helsinki at a cafe?

Hey,
Where are some nice cafes in Helsinki to sit and chat?
And what are the prices for a latte, and hot chocolate, for example.
I just wanted to know. Is the average price about 3- 3.5 euros?


Btw. I had a hot chocolate in the Roberts coffee in Kaivopiha, it was really bad . Tasted like powdered milk with hot water, too much sugar, and no chocolate. in a small paper cup. And that was 3e (not worth it, by taste alone ).

hehe welcome to finland. Get used to high prices and low quality. Of course there is quality here too but you gotta pay a lot for that too

You could try the Viennese coffeehouse Krulla's on Fredrikinkatu 41. Opening hours: Monday-Friday 7.30 - 19.30, Sat-Sun 10.00 - 18.00. Of course's it's small and rather pricey (!) but quite good in my opinion (with Austrian coffee). They have a variety of home-made cakes as well as a lunch buffet. I generally find museums' cafes quite nice for a chat/cake/coffee too, they usually have a nice variety of goodies. E.g. Atheneum's cafe is nice and seems like a nicely laid-back place (and is of course very central).

Cafe Engel on Senate Square is also very nice and comfy I find. And I like the continental-style table service
