Moi everyone,
We meet a problem in Finland. We five people will visit Lapland during Xmas time. Our plan is to leave from Rovaniemie to Sodankyla on 25th Dec. However, we heard later that there is no public transportation in that day. And nobody of us have the driving lisence availible in Finland, so we can not rent a car here. At the moment we could not find a way to arrive Sodankyla.
We really appriciate if someone can help us to find a way. Or is anyone happen to pass this two cities in that day can give us a ride. Of course we will share the gas fee:)
Regards,
Sambera

Re: help needed
You should try to get the last bus BEFORE the traffic stops for Christmas. Christmas Day is the most unlikely day of the year for people to move from place to place. The festive time starts on Christmas Eve at midday (the most important time is Christmas Eve evening. That is when Christmas dinner is eaten, Santa comes and so on), and for Christmas Day just about everything is closed and people stay put.

Change your plan. Our plan is to leave from Rovaniemie to Sodankyla on 25th Dec.
Make sure you arrive in Sodankylä on the 24th before 18.00 hours or so.

or then you find a sober taxi driver, or order one beforehand... its only 150km or so, not even a reindeer piss in those parts... of course there won't be much open if anything
