Blues in the final of the CHL?

Post by FinnBrit » Fri Dec 05, 2008 1:37 pm

Congratulations to Espoo Blues for making it to the semi-finals of the Champions Hockey League! It's a fantastic achievement; especially gaining home ice advantage for the second leg in January!

Should Blues manage to get past Zurich then they will face one of the two Russian teams, Mettalurg or Salavat Yulayev. Home ice advantage in that game will still be decided by the team's success in the pool stages. Blues' statistics is better than that of Mettalurg's, but not of Salavat Yulayev's so we have to support the former in their semi-final.

Come on Blues!

The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from too much pi.

For those inclined to watch, I hope this helps

1. If you're not in a blocked zone, you're lucky. Just go to http://www.championshockeyleague.com and download RayV player and enjoy. In USA you might also enjoy http://www.universalsports.com broadcasts. With Firefox you'll need a plug-in for the universalsports streams. Click the Video Help link in the upper left corner and follow instructions.

2. If you live in a blocked area like Finland and want to watch a blocked game like ZSC-Blues is for Finland:
1) Download and Install Hotspot Shield
2) Launch it before watching and try out the streams. I my experience the CHL streams still won't work or the stream is of very bad quality. Switch to the universalsports and try again. These should work better (remember the Firefox plug-in explained earlier). The stream might still stall every few seconds but that's the best I have been able to come up with.
