Registration

Hi,

I am(NON-EU) in Finland and doing Masters with student permit and live in Muusantori5A, Helsinki. Do i have to register for population counting? DO i get any idcard? like Kela card. Please tell me the neareast address to register.

I havent Registered for past 3 months. I am also looking for jobs/part-time, do i have to register in employment office?

well you should go to the maistraatti on the corner of Bulevardi and Albertinkatu and get your ID number, which the international office should have told you to get already - getting a bank account is difficult without one. and as a student you're not unemployed, you're a student - so I'd put my chances on places like www.academicwork.fi or www.studentwork.fi - and then if and when you find a job you then need to get a tax card which you can get from any tax office - they'll ask you how much have you eraned and whats your earnings and invent you a percentage.
