I don't think there is a direct link anymore since you can switch operator and keep your original phone number.

Elisa was 050 and Sonera was 040. I'm not sure about the others. I think DNA might have been 045, but I'm not sure.

Ok, but i mean if someone kept their original operator.

I think DNA is 044 because I had that.

Sometimes theres these offers for cheaper or free calls to the numbers of the same operator, so i was wondering if my firends had the same network as me :o

I think you mean prefix but anyway... if you were to take a new number from an operator then you would get from them their "own" number prefix like 050 from Elisa, 040 from Sonera, 045 from Saunalahti, etc. But like everyone here is saying, you can keep your number when changing providers so its not as easy to know anymore. One way to know is looking online for example from Fonecta Finder and searching the number. It will tell you who the provider is. The service to look that up might cost something but I am not sure, I am logged on automatically at work so I think my employer and fonecta have some agreement.

This service tells you the operator of a given number.
