Metropolia university programmes are not part time. It is evening college but full time. It covers same number of hours as full time per day.

But the site says the following,

Studies normally arranged as one day of contact teaching / week in Metropolia (Helsinki) + some evenings. Additionally own work at home. Master’s Thesis is normally done in students own work place / company.

are you guys talking about universities only or polytechnics as well? i think MBA courses in all polytechnics are part-time and that it requires 3 years of working experiences in order to be eligible for applying as opposed to universities which have full-time courses and may or may not require working experiences.

MBA's which are not degrees in the restricted sense, they don't give you government job prerequisite of "higher diploma" so they can be charged for. masters degrees which are "higher diploma" are free.

polytechnics don't charge, at least i haven't heard and read. some acquaintances say they have done free mba from universities but i don't know if it's masters degrees (M. Sc.) or MBA degree. yes..i have read some universities charging 5 figures for MBA perhaps it's helsinki university or turku
