Reasonably priced Driving schools

Post by helsinkiguy » Mon Jan 19, 2009 3:55 pm

Looking at the websites of driving schools in the capital region, the average price for getting a driving license can easily shoot around 1600 euros. Can anyone refer a reasonably priced driving school as my budget is around 1000 euros.
Thanks

"Etelä-Suomen lääninhallitus on vertaillut henkilöautoajokortin (B-luokka) hintoja Helsingissä, Hyvinkäällä, Hämeenlinnassa, Keravalla, Lahdessa ja Lappeenrannassa. Ajokortin hinta oli 1 492-1 803 euroa eli eroa oli 21 %. B-kortti maksoi keskimäärin 1 632 euroa, josta I-vaihe 1 375 euroa ja II-vaihe 257 euroa. Koko B-kurssi maksoi vähiten Lahdessa ja eniten Hyvinkäällä."

And that was year 2004... I don't think that prices have gone down since then...

What about the nerds under us: Simulator (my wife does it all the time:-)

I do not understand all that fuss for a license here: as long as it goes straight it goes reasonably but if it has to go in corners or otherwise nobody seems to have a license here

This is where I got my license, was not expensive

you don't drive with a license, you drive with talent.... it just is an issue when you get caught
