I'm planning on a trip around the world with my gf. We are taking the train from Beijing to St-Pet.
Euro price by the UK based company: 2200 euros.
£ price by the same company: 1600£

We asked to pay in pounds. At that time it meant 1710 instead of 2200. About 500 euros saved.
With that money saved we are taking a free cruise between Shanghai and Japan. And we did the same.
The cruise was 690 euros. We paid in £. 490£ So it's a small 520 euros.

Viva el pound!

..it's the same on EasyJet flights (Helsinki - London Gatwick). The menu pricing hasn't been updated in a couple of months so by paying in pounds you save a fair bit of money even on a small meal.

I have to feel sorry for my countrymen though.

oh yeah, a lot of online stores having multilingual/national websites haven't kept their exchange rated prices up to date...

I think British government is executing a silent devaluation operation on their currency to please their exporters and ease the money flow towards the island.
