How to take your details out of the phone book and other public sources?

tried
a) whiteout
b) acethone
c) telephone company <=bingo!

but it depends then what you want - if its against telemarketers theres the various "do not call" lists as well as you need to check the maistraatti and posti that they delist your address from commercial services... *but* the thing is then if you move nobody gets your change of address who should so you should really know what you do. named junkmail always has somewhere on the label where they pull the addresses... if you got a car AKE too...

My bad, I didn't know what you exactly wanted to do so I went with the obvious you wished to quit cottaging as the rentboy...

You can get an unlisted number. Check with your phone service provider.

According to law, you’re also allowed to withdraw your information from directory services – and the companies must provide this “delisting” service free of charge – but it’s probably easier if you start out with a fresh number that will never get listed in the first place.

You can also prevent other people from seeing your number when you call them, either on a call-by-call basis or by requesting that to be the default for your number, but I know many people (and I’m one of those, too) who will not answer such unidentifiable calls.

See here for more information.

Last but not least, there’s an opt-out list/service – a so-called Robinson list – for those who do not wish to be contacted by the Finnish telemarketers. See here for the details. (You need to renew your subscription to this list every three years, though.)
