Hello,

do you know whether any finnish TV will broadcast Superbowl this year? I looked at MTV3 webpage and it seems they will not air it.

I had assumed it would be on terrestrial TV as I've managed to watch it the last three years I've lived here - but I just checked on telkku.com and it's certainly not on the schedule! I couldn't see it on MTV Max or Canal + either; I hope someone's going to air it! Please let me know if you find out!!!!

..it's also on NASN (North American Sports Network) if you can get that channel. It's a real shame as I was hoping to watch it from the comforts of my house, but does anyone know a pub that would be open and showing the game?

Generally Sports Academy shows it..
Also Calll http://www.sajl.fi/
to see if they have any plans to air it for the public.
but Dont count on Viasat either ( They sometimes do a blackout of Viasports and then I have to watch the games via the horrible channel with Danish commentry instead of the original English ones from the ex-pros..)
I finally got my Dish fixed and am waiting for the game..
NASN is difficult to get in Finland as it comes in Hotbird and Astra as paid subscriptions..so..the only option is Viasat ( Specifically Viasports)

problem is that no pub is allowed to stay open long enough to show the whole game, IIRC correctly it will go on past the 4am deadline! If there is a channel available it will be on in Mollys but you wont be able to see the whole match

My previous post has disappeared. :?:

One possibility is to watch it via internet but you will need at least 2M broadband and will have to sign up for a VPN service which will give you an IP address in the USA, you can get one for 8.5€ for a month and may be even find someone giving a free trial. Setting up and using VPN is easy and legal. Google and you will find lots!

You will then have to find a site that will be broadcasting the superbowl over the internet, watching it however is to quote from a pc mag 'legally 'iffy' .
