Hi all,
I am a 26-year old Canadian student, and I'll be in Helsinki this summer visiting my girlfriend (who is Finnish) from June to August. I'd like to work in order to stay longer and be able to contribute more to our domestic expenditures. I don't intend on staying longer than the summer, so I'm looking for something temporary.
I'd love to work as a babysitter/playmate, I love children and I think that interaction with a native English speaker is a great way for them to come to love the language. I have two years of ESL teaching experience in public school (ages 8-18) and at university. I am first-aid certified as well.
Apart from that I am open - I am currently working as a researcher on a biography project, so something related to that would be great. I also speak French and am prepared to teach it. I've been learning Finnish for a couple of months. I've experience as a landscaper and a handyman. I'm quite flexible as to my role, hours worked, compensation. I'm an honest, capable and conscientious worker.
Thanks for your time! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested.
All best,
Daniel G. R.

Here in Finland, I have done everything I can to blend-in with the Finns, I've changed my hair color, wore differnet clothes, got different
