SOCIAL FOOTBALL : Let's get together, shall we, get it done!

Alright. Here's the deal.

There have been quite a number of posts here regarding this issue "football / social football / football after work", etc, etc.

Quite a few people have expressed interest, (including yours truly), but I dont see any FOLLOW-UPS.

Having lived in this country for nearly 7 years, I'm all too familiar with the Finnish-syndrome : people talk a lot about ideas and plans, but nobody seems to be really interested in getting off the ground, and putting those plans into action.

To organize people into some form of social group, or get-together, in Finland, is like trying to get a date with Tarja Halonen.

So, here's what I propose : those of you who are really SERIOUS about playing football, please send me an email directly to this address :

Please, don't bother posting your reply here on this forum. I won't bother to read it. The "talking" and "discussing" has gone on long enough. Let's play some football, shall we??

It's winter outside, so, for now, we are looking for indoor options. As we all know, there are several places where this can be done. All we need to do is decide on a place and time when we can all meet REGULARLY, and play soccer (even if it's just once a week).

I dont mind taking the initiative here, and doing the research and organizing myself, if only I can be sure that I am not the only one who is actually serious about doing this!

And, please, do not worry about forming a large team of 10 or 2o people. Even if we could get just 5 or 6, that's good enough. 2 teams of 3 players each sounds just fine.

Not to be nitpicky..But then what you mentioned seemed like more of a joke than the thing you are meanig to convey..
Tarja is already taken..
and she is not your type..
you might wanna compare that to Matti Vanhanen..

The point was that you were responding to anything and everything - even if, as in this case, the OP had said 'don't bother replying here'.

But anyway, those wishing to find a group to play football with don't need to read our drivvel...
