Hello,everyone
I'm Monica. I need advice about moving and work in Finland . I studied at "University of Arts George Enescu" and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Music Pedagogy. In fact, I studied music all my life as a little child begining with music elementary school and high school, playing piano as principal instrument and singing in choir. I would like very much, I really want to come in Finland and work as a piano teacher, music teacher, pianist, choirist (soprano), or accompanist as well. I'll appreciate any advice concerning where to look for a job like this, and other about my situation. Best wishes...!!!

Hello, i would suggest that you try to contact Sibelius Academy in Finland...
http://www.siba.fi/en/....Its the one and only Music University around here, i suppose that (somehow) you may get the help that you need from them....
i wish you luck (you need it)
Best regards,

hmm, Finland might not be easy... you should be able to speak FI (I guess)
Finnish Opera is reducing its personnel (so, less chances to go there), I guess others are in the same boat. As a private you must have piano and connections, since it's expensive thing to get piano classes. Again you should be able to speak FI (otherwise how are you planning to teach/explain? it's quite common here for small kids to have music lessons)

Do you speak Italian? Have you previously lived in Italy?Do you play the piano? Have you taken any courses or studied what is involved in teaching the instrument? Are you familiar with teaching materials and the rest of the piano literature?
