Having worked for so many cleaning companies in Finland for the last 6 years, i feel it is time to start my own company and take care of my destiny.
One way is through franchise and am looking for facts.... the DOS and Don'ts of this business in Finland.
So far the few people i have talked to, warns me of falling into big debts if for example i loose contracts due to some customer complains such as, Not changing toilet paper once or twice, contracts that have hidden agendas etc etc.
Please if you have any advice or links to vital information sources i will appreciate so much.

Do you mean as a franchiser or as a franchisee....?ERECTION wrote:Having worked for so many cleaning companies in Finland for the last 6 years, i feel it is time to start my own company and take care of my destiny.

The advantages and drawbacks of both are pretty much the same all over and widely documented on the internet.
I seem to remember that it is all about preparation and contracts. The set up requires a lot of REALISTIC forward thinking. As a franchisee there is rarely much money to be made, you won't get rich quick. Francisers are basically lawyers in sheep's clothing.

...you might face some stiff competition though, there's already a good many companies taking care of the removal of those hairy balls lurking in offices etc...
Re: Starting cleaning Service through franchises in Finland.
This is not perhaps the best of times. Just last week there was an interview how financial situation has affected people. One of the interviewed was a person (an immigrant) who had started his cleaning company five years ago. It employed three of his family members. Everything had been just fine untill now, but according to him it has changed, and he was afraid that all work will come to an end. He had about half of the work he had a year ago.
