The Finnish equivelant of the RACMSA is the AKK so they are the best source of information. Take a look at http://www.autourheilu.fi/english/calendar/rally/ for their events calendar. Obviously that covers the whole country.
You could also join a motor club. Poppoo team http://www.saunalahti.fi/~popteam/ is one I know of in the Lahti area but there will be others. Motor clubs here are a bit different to those in the UK; they meet as a club much less often, so they aren't such a good way to get to know people. I have found it is better to approach people directly rather than through a club. You do need to be a club member to compete though, similar to (but not the same as) the UK.
I don't know of any tracks close by Lahti, but I am not really into circuits. The closest I can think of is Ahvenisto at Hämeenlinna. Matti would probably know more about that, and track days.
What sort of car are you thinking of bringing?
What is your interest? Competitor? Spectator? Something else?

Most clubs rarely meet except for the christmas party so getting out on events is the only way to get to know people. I suggest you contact a motor club and offer to help marshal on events - but be prepared to get boring jobs unless you speak Finnish or have some real knowledge/exprience. It is a way to get to know people in the sport though.
Are you handy with a spanner? You could offer to help a local crew. Finding a good backup team can be difficult so willing bodies are often welcome. If you get involved with the preparation of the car that can provide a social side but you need to start at events I think. You could just go to a service area, find crews from your area (look at the entry list and their sponsors for clues about where they are from) and just offer to help.
Another thing you can do is to contact the organisers of some of the international events and offer to help. They might need English speakers for various things, not all of which need Finnish as well. For example, someone has to proof-read the English copy of all paperwork. That could provide a way in.

Hi David,
There are plenty of 200's around, you can most likely find some Finnish club on the net specialising in Nissan and get some contacts from there.
Many of the cars are modified and mostly driven by hooded youths
Finland is full of hardcore motorsports, there are many companies involved with fabrication and car preparation, but not so much for the everyday person in the way of trackdays etc. I used to have my car worked on by one rally prep team in Espoo.
Would also be worth you checking out karting tracks to find people "into" the sport and who can give you further pointers.
