Klaukkala City Housing
Do you think it's hard to get like if you live in the try city area? Well, actually it's Nurmijärvi City Housing I suppose. I know In the tri city areas the waiting lists can be well over a year as I have work friends who have been waiting this long.
I'll be a single mother with a small child and have heard how they put these kinds of situations at the top of the list.
I could also get housing through the company I work for cheaper than market price. But I am not sure if they own housing this far out from the capital city. I also have animals, so I am not sure if they'd let me have them in one of their flats.
Our mortgage payment is cheaper than paying rent at this point in time (have you seen the price of renting these days even in Klaukkala?), but I can't afford the mortgage payments, so my husband would keep the house.
Does anyone have any dealings with Nurmijärvi City Housing? I think from what I see in Klaukkala, the area is nice. I don't see any bad areas. I don't want my child brought up in a bad area.

Well it doesn't hurt to put in an application. You go in the "yhteispalvelupiste" and fill in the application. Though they might point you off to Röykkä... though if your company is willing to rent the flat off the landlord and then to you as "työsuhdeasunto" then you atleast don't need to worry about the deposits that much. But do try the county first.
Dunno about the rents in Klaukkala, but the village is the pits
though I usually just hit Lidl and the tool section at Tarjoustalo...

Re: Klaukkala City Housing
Thanks.
At the moment I don't actually live in Klaukkala. I live out in the forest between Klaukkala and Nurmijärvi, so I only go to Klaukkala to shop and take the child to daycare. It's ok I think. Maybe a bit of the pits as in nothing like Helsinki and not much entertainment etc, but it could always be worse LOL.

Haaa - neighbor
I've got my cottage out past the horse farms in the next village over towards the Espoo border and the steam train guy, its technically in the same village where Vanhanen has his flat.

Sorry, who's Vanhanen? Ok, I really apologise if that's a really stupid question.
We have horses across the road from us and a small horse farm just down the road. Now it's starting to smell like horse paska all the time when you go outside. It's ok, it's all part of living out in the sticks
I don't live too far over the Espoo border either I guess. You don't have to go through Klaukkala to get where I live though. I live on the other side of it, off the old highway to Tampere. I am so greatful I don't have to travel into Klaukkala during peak hour. I always wondered where all those people must live that clog up the road, as there's nothing in Klaukkala LOL.
Are those horse farms the ones you mean on the road that you take from Klaukkala to get to Vihdintie? (is that's how it's spelt?). I take that road all the time to take my child to Luukki. He loves it there.

You mean the road from Lidl to the Shell? I'm on the "loop" that goes from S-market to the other intersection that goes past the Alpaca farm.Flossy1978 wrote:Are those horse farms the ones you mean on the road that you take from Klaukkala to get to Vihdintie? Oh ok. I don't really follow politics at all. I know who the President is, isn't that enough? LOL. And I didn't know that my own country had changed Primeminister and I couldn't even tell you who the one is that they have now, only that he's doing a good job apparently. It's nothing to be proud of, rather lame actually. I haven't voted there in years and I have actually wondered if I have some kind of fine waiting for me if I enquire about it because you have to vote even if out of the country.
Ok, I know the area you mean. It's really nice out that way.

You should give him a visit Flossy, he is giving all the time hints
We should all give him a visit
It will not be hard to find him, it is that area where all the houses are abandoned
