I think you have to use those things straight after the cut has closed...
"For optimal results, c-section patients are advised to begin using the combination treatment (silicone sheets and scar cream) immediately after the wound has closed, sutures have been removed, and itching or redness occurs around the scar."

Try DMSO...
I got a fair few big nasty scars. There is this scar stuff that I was gonna buy. I have a nice piratical scar on my cheek. Looks pretty cool though so I'm leaving it. I saw it in the apteeki and they said it aids the healing process and helps the colour but I think that's if it's red.
Kelo-cote. It was kinda pricey so I didn't bother. Can't remember how much.
Maybe you could try some form of lazer treatment. it's very pricey but effective. Whether it would work for that type of scar I don't know. I think they can't be too deep for the treatment to work.
If it has healed badly, and made the scar worse, they can cut out the scar and re-stitch it. And cos they did it they might do it ...I dunno.
To be honest...I'd learn to live with it, I know that's easy for me to say but i think that's the best option. We all have them and none of us are perfect physically, even me

- learn to love your scars!!
good luck!
