I want to buy an Asus EEE PC 1000

Post by marcool » Sun Jan 18, 2009 3:24 pm

I'm looking for a way to buy an Asus EEE PC 1000 with a Finnish keyboard layout.
I can't find it anywhere.

The one I want is the 1000, not the 1000H, not the 1000HA, or 1000HD.

It looks like Verkkokauppa doesn't have it... Anybody knows another good place?

They had/have it on http://www.jimmspc-store.fi/ .But I don't know if they still have it. I have a HP 2133 Mini myself and I love it. great mini laptop (netbook). If I would be you I would consider a HP 2140 or HP Mini 1000 ,they look and are much better build then Asus. Asus netbook's looks like a toy.

Finally got one from Canada
That one:

So no Finnish keyboard but given the price of the Canadian dollar I couldn't complain.
499CAD +tax so around 360Eur :)

499 with delivery? Not bad, I could consider that one myself... is the keyboard physically same as FI version? Would I need to buy new charger?

Still I think I'll be waiting T101H... it would be perfect for reading both reading books and surfing web in bed...

Well the delivery cost me around 1000 euros since I went there!
The keyboard is slightly different from the fi one. It's the normal american layout so the Enter key is divided in 2, the higher part is \ and ah damn... where is the pipe...
