please read the stickies in this section and forum..before you become yet another dumb foreigner looking for work without knowing the reality here..
Jyväskylä is basically a VILLAGE ...centered around a University!!
and in Finland, it works the other way round that U contact employers than the other way around..

Well I think there is a difference between posting on this forum with the blue-eyed expectations of twenty job offers coming in the same day, and posting your info just in case there might be something and to just add to your other ways of trying.

right attitude...wrong place...
its key to network...but It ll help you more to network with Finns than the few foreigners ( many of whom are also already struggling to find jobs here )..

Alas, but for Finns it is also question of do I know YOU.

After all, we only know about you what you tell us.

It would make me look silly if you turned out to have stretched the truth here and there...

Oh geez. No kidding there're no jobs available "on" this forum there's nothing wrong with using this forum for networking. Nothing at all. There are many people "behind the scenes" who may just respond.
So, in essence its still a closed market..!!
Doubt that this is rarely a success as compared to the number of posts here and the number of people coming back to report and say...Yay I got a job by posting on this forum!! Indeed there are some success..But then its pretty rarte..
and dont quote me out of context next time...
It was for a specific response that I responded to!!
