I would say buy one from Thomann or pick up a second hand one...Plenty of second hand ones knocking around. But I think second hand stuff in Finland is over priced.
Are you moving from with in finland or from outside?
(i don't know shops it Tampere way...only turku / helsinki)

YAMAHA C40: Thomann 115 + postage or Tammerpiano ja soitin 110 + bus fare to the center?Bubba Elvis XIV wrote:I would say buy one from Thomann or pick up a second hand one...Plenty of second hand ones knocking around. But I think second hand stuff in Finland is over priced.
edit: not saying that buying from thomann isn't usually cheaper, but sometimes it is good to give nod to local businesses, especially if they are cheaper

Yeah of course, you gotta compare prices. The 310 is cheaper in thomann...
the C-40 is on sale.
I agree if the local business is cheaper, then of course, buy from there...but that has nothing to do with supporting local business, it's about saving money.
But any way this isn't a discussion about supporting local business but helping someone get a guitar.
There's a shop in Somero that's cheap and people say it's very good. They do you a deal if you ask. But I heard the guy isn't there a lot so if you want to go there you need to call and check he's around first. Somero is a bit of a drag from Tampere but not impossible.

Re: Buying a guitar on Tampere
I´m moving from Mexico to study at TUT, i have some guitars here but it could be a bit difficult to travel with a guitar, so my principal question: is it better that i carry on mine from Mexico, or i could get one easy, on Hervanta or Tampere? ..
Thanks
Thanks

depends on the price you are wanting to pay for a new/used one here ..compared to the price you ll pay for Shipping/carrying it with you..ruperto wrote:I´m moving from Mexico to study at TUT, i have some guitars here but it could be a bit difficult to travel with a guitar, so my principal question: is it better that i carry on mine from Mexico, or i could get one easy, on Hervanta or Tampere? ..

( Since this is Finland, it is more expensive than there to buy guitars )..

Re: Buying a guitar on Tampere
I am a musician & brought all my own instruments (none of which is a guitar though!) with me when I moved here . Am glad I did, I think instruments are VERY expensive here even on huuto, the Ebay type site. Good luck, my husband is a lecturer at TUT!

As i said earlier....easier to buy one here whether thats from a Finn shop or internet.
so you're from Mexico - Dunno if you know this place (link below) - Cheap German shop, ships all over. You have to click the finnish flag though cos I think the prices are slightly different country to country...

But see Ruperto...We cant say whats easiest..I guess none of us know the price of a guitar in Mexico or how big and strong you are or how cheap you are to make that decision for you...You're a student so that makes you lazy, we know that

If you want to know if it's easy to buy a guitar in Tampere then the answer is YES.
