SEEKING FOR HELP SHELTER IN HELSINKI/ESPOO/VANTAA/TURKU

Post by Narain » Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:01 pm

Dear Readers,

I am Narain, presently working as a volunteer, with 8 special needs students in FINLAND, since 9 months, i have 2 months left here in Finland, i want to continue my life in Finland, seeking help from you, if you give me shelter (very very small place to sleep) for two months, i can search job from there, if i dont get job in two months, i go back to my country (I have a ticket), then i try luck next time, in the meantime i can also help you in your routine work, or i can also take care of any special need persons or baby sitter, this is my first country i really like to be here, as i dont have any other options, i try to post here, may be this is correct way or not asking help here, but i thought may be dreams come true with hope. In Finland i live in country side here it is very difficult to get job.

Once again i request all broad minded finnish families/students if it is possible for you, please give me an opportunity. If you have any type of queries you can contact k_narain2000@yahoo.com citizenship India (single).

Waiting for someone can help me.

I can also provide the address and refereence of my present address in FINLAND

Hey,

Try to sign up here: http://www.couchsurfing.com.
Basically, you can "surf" people's couches for different periods of time ( as it will be mutually agreed ). Maybe that'll buy you some time to find a job in Finland. I don't know about the food, though, as far as i know, one gets only hosting...

You can also post your situation over there, there's a chance you'd get good advices and help.

Good luck! ...cause i know how bad one can want to be here.

Yes, there are some people who think that couchsurfing is for these kind of things. But in my opinion that's just abusing the system.

What kind of things?

And what'd be wrong if this guy would surf some couches? He can still share his culture and he can still return the favor someday. I don't see abuse. He will occupy the same space on one couch as if he would be a traveler. As long as he states his problem and people agree to help him, I don't see anything bad in it. One is in need, the other one offers help.

And it's not that he would receive money and food to suck the system dry. Having this guy doesn't cause any loss on the other side.

CS, of course, is not forced to stand for this, but then again, if there are people willing to, why not?

But, as I said, if noone agrees to offer him accomodation, he can at least get some advices, links, info. CS-ers are helpful as I think you know (being a member and all)

Narain, i don't remember how old you are, but take a look at this too: http://aupairworld.net/ ...and that's how you won't abuse anything cause you will offer your services in return.
