Good luck...
As with any logistics nightmare, Job searching in that field is also a nightmare..
Start with
http://www.mol.fi/paikat/
If you dont have a job already lined up before moving here... Be prepared to burn your cash savings for around a year or so..as the work environment is extremely tough now.
So think twice or thrice or around a 1000 times before you move here...If you already have job somewhere, hold onto it for sometime before you can find jobs here..

Then write it yourself.

How good is your Finnish? I mean if you go check the www.mol.fi website that kind of gives you a hint of the thresholds.

I had worked in supply chain management in Finland for several years, but now unemployment. I'm now planning to change my career as my post colleagues.
it's not a good time finding the jobs here in logistics field, as most of the factory moved out of side of Finland.
Here in Finland most of big companies only keep R&D, or sales, or management still in Finland and transfer mass production, test to Asia, or Russia. the others keep recruitment frozen. I'm not fin, but You could imagine how many Finnish expertise left in logistics field after transfiguration.

Hei Mert,

If you have a job offer already in Logistics then you are very lucky and should grab it with both hands.

As some of the posters have already commented, there are few main issues with finding a logistics job in FInland.

1) Lanuage - Finnish is still a required language by most Finnish companies. Especially if you are looking for a more senior position it is important that you can communicate with colleagues, employees and clients alike.
2) Economic situation - most logisitcs companies are reducing their workforce in Finland right now. Cheaper production costs in Europe mean factories are closing and the economic slide has even hit Russia, so transit handlers are seeing less work than ever.
3) Employment Offices - I found the unemployment office little help (they only wanted that I join language school) and recruitment companies (e.g. Manpower) were only interested in candidates with Finnish skills (obvious of course if the only vacancies that come up need Finnish)

For anybody else who reads this, I would advise targetting particular companies with particular needs for your skills. If you cannot speak Finnish, this means usually an international based company or one with a largely international client base.

Be prepared that you will not find work very easily. Lining up a job before you come over is by far the best choice as well as banking some savings in case you do arrive with no empoloyment.

Don't be afraid to take any job you can get - it is better to be earning even if it is not what you want to do or paying the salary you think you deserve. Logistics jobs in Finland are a rarity at the moment, so consider if you have skills that could transfer to another job.

Best of luck :)
