Hei vaan!
I was thinking that it's time to sell my car and get something different. I am going to be driving a lot more this year and diesel is smarter for me in that sense. Anyway, I was wondering if people here knew of some places with good reputations for selling your car for you (in the capital city area). I don't mean that they buy it because I know I'd never get a good price that way. It's just that I think many people who might be interested in my car will finance it and/or trade in with something and of course getting it through a dealer is easier etc. So just a service where my car sits on their lot and once it sells they pay me the money and of course they take out a slice

. I've gotten one response from Autovalkama with a decent offer but just wonder if there are any more? In Tampere I know of one good place too but well I am not living there anymore. I'm going on a trip soon as well so the car might as well sit there while waiting for a buyer

Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

Places that sell your car for you?

They'll buy it for you, but won't sell it on your behalf. Usually their buy it price is way too low. Anyway, thanks though!

One of my friends has been trying to sell his car recently. First he put an ad on the net, but he said he received very few calls from potential buyers. Then he took his car to various dealers, but they tried to rip him off. Their offers were much lover then the actual price of the car. Finally, he decided to stick ads on the windows of his car. He says this was much more efficient than the internet! And within a couple of days he was called by many people and found a buyer with a good offer...
He also tried a new "Car Market" at Kaasutehtaankatu, Helsinki. But it seems to be a waste of time, cos on a shiny Sunday there were 5 cars on sale and 2-3 wanderers!!!

Yeah that's a good place in my opinion too. And I think its the most popular online car site in Finland. I have it there already

I know good enough Finnish that I got a good description written about the car and all that. Another reason why I was asking about a place that sells it for you is because I'll be going on vacation next month and gone for 3 weeks. I figured it's gonna just sit anyway, might as well let it sit at a dealer

Not many choices unless you want it laying in a parking lot with a for sale sign on..
Then the teenagers start having lotsa fun!!

Yeah you are right

That's why I have been looking for a trusted reliable service. I know of a good one in Tampere but I'm not in the mood to take it all the way there. I am going to one place this week to check them out but we'll see. The good thing is I am not in a hurry. A buyer comes when it comes

Thanks for the help and suggestions.
