Actually an old poaching trick is shooting fish with a shotgun. The "idea" is not to hit the fish, but hit just under it and get the fish to burst its insides of the pressure and then it floats up.

You try and avoid hitting the fish with a shotgun? So I guess you're aiming pretty low. Or do you use slugs.

Agh! We should switch topic as someone will start banging on about animal cruelty as they eat their broileri sandwich, drink their milk and scratch their ass through the hole in the leather chaps.

You shoot point blank, basically you can use a wood slug even. Now then if you want to do some commie poaching you take a generator or go steal some electricity from the power lines... was it Poland now where the beacons of intelligence got themselves into Darwin awards this way...

I can imagine you paddling down the stream, singing Tammerkosken silta:
"...Kaks on pojalla ystävää: se lihava ja se laiha.
Ostan litran lämmintä maitoo ja lihotan sen laihan."

and P and O having fun on the bridge with their guns and dynamites...
