If you want realism work...You wanna take the trip to Turku and see Lasse.
Very nice guy and one of the best in northern Europe or even Europe.

Make sure you get Lasse though. He is expensive and theres huge waiting lists but theres a damn good reason for that.

Re: Getting Inked
Anyone have experience of Ducks in Itäkeskus, my wife is about to have a small lower back tattoo there? Their examples they showed are good, but personnal advice is better!´It is quite simple, hearts and stuff!
I am also looking for a good studio in Helsinki as I am about to get my second tattoo, a phoenix this time to join my English wyvern. Advice more than welcome! My first was done in Starlight Tattoo in Las Vegas for you tattoo fans (I wasn't drunk if you are wondering!).
I hope my new tattoo will be something like this, but drawn for me and a bit brighter.

They all do custom work. These days they prefer to redraw stuff as they want to put their own 'stamp' on it.Mölkky-Fan wrote: I hope my new tattoo will be something like this, but drawn for me and a bit brighter.
Legacy is a good studio...theres lots of different artists though and they have different styles. I like old school stuff and they are every good at that. But if you go to their webpage and myspace you can check out all the different guys. They all have their own thing goin on.

Blue Dragon is good but I know some of the stuff on the web page isn't done by artists who are at the shop these days.

Jarno is good at this place. But big on asian stuff. But his other stuff is good.

By the way...you know what the name for lower back tattoos these days is don't you?
I am getting a matroyshka doll by Krisse at legacy and my eagle chest piece will be done by Nile, Salvation Tattoos, Stockholm.

Yeah, they can look good. but I think it's a good area for the right tattoo.
I want this as a back piece with some alterations.

So it would look a bit like this...(the clouds, woman and flowers would have to be changed).

Re: Getting Inked

I knew someone would start saying that stuff...I was thinking I should write dont start saying "why would you do that?". always happens when you start talking about tattoos.
And to be honest we really don't care what you and like-minded folk think, so shut up.

But i do agree with you. I would probably never get my forearms done cos of work, could be difficult with my job. Neck, hands and face are kinda stupid...although tattooed neck and hands can look good IMO. But if the tattoo can be covered, it doesn't matter.
GF's little brother wants his forearm done. first one too, and I am saying 'no'. He's in design school and the area of work he is going to accepts that kinda stuff but even still you never know where you end up. He could be having meetings with heads of BMW in 20 years.

Fu'cking hell...you're as bad as my mum!
But, really...how can anyone be so stupid? I mean I like tats and that but you cant get your face done then complain as no one will give you a job.
They can always get lazer removal....at 150 euros a time...which hurts more than the tattoo itself and takes less time and you need about 5 times..

Re: Getting Inked
Get a tattoo then! They work...
The lazer treatment works...Gfs getting some and a friend in the Uk is getting some done. It works, I've seen the results with my very own eyes!
