Anyone owning Hyundai or KIA cars, and can tell about regular servicing and maintenance costs in Finland?

Would appreciate feedback.

There was a survey published in one of the Finnish car mags over a year ago which compared the servicing costs of all the major car manufacturers for a similar car model. I remember that the Kia turned out to be one of the most expensive to service over a 3 year period which I think was due to shorter service intervals and relatively high price of the actual service & parts.
You may be able to find a copy of mag with the test at you local Library !

Last year I was looking for a small diesel. The Hyundai's service was much higher than expected. Also 15,000 intervals rather than 20,000 that other manufacturers recommend. I do about 40Kms a year, so that is quite a lot more money. They sell this cars a little cheaper, yes they have extended 5-7 year warranties, but they are only valid if you get a regular stamp from the manufacturer. So in the end, you pay more.
You really need to add up all the outside costs. In the end, I went for a Renault. It just seemed best value for money on paper. Its a good time to buy a car, but you need to ask all the running cost questions.

Good luck

Can you try to remember with a bit more detail on what magazine and what period of time?
