Looking for a GCSE teacher

Post by MC Deli » Sat May 16, 2009 1:19 pm

I am looking for a GCSE teacher - someone English, who has taught at Secondary / GCSE level in the UK, who has preferably taught in the maths/science/media area and who preferably resides in Helsinki. Not for private tuition but to consult on a project.

Please PM me if you are interested with brief info and your contact details and I will get in touch.

Thanks in advance.

I wonder if you could contact the English School or the International School in Helsinki? They may be able to put you in touch with somebody.

Good luck

As far as I know the only school actually offering the possibility to take IGCSEs in the Helsinki area is Kulosaari Yhteiskoulu. My kids have taken IGCSEs there (including maths). I can PM you the name of the IGCSE maths teacher (a Brit) if you like. Biology is also a very strong IGCSE subject in that school. Separate sciences are also offered (physics and chemistry) but don't run every year depending on demand.

Several schools in the Helsinki area offer AS and A levels. These include Eira aikuiskoulu, the English School, Kulosaari Yhteiskoulu and Espoo International in Pohjois Tapiola. Certainly the latter has British maths teachers who would probably be aware of the GCSE syllabus.

HTH!
