Cheap check-up for bikes around Hki/Vantaa/Kerava?

Post by nisha » Sun May 17, 2009 8:09 pm

Hi!
I wanted to bring my bike for a yearly check-up to a bike shop and got a bit shocked by the price of 80 Euros, as we
used to pay 30 Euros in pricy Switzerland.
Does anyone know a cheap place?
Thanks!

I need mine serviced. I don't know any cheap places but entered bicycle repairs in the search and found this thread. The second post by the legendary Jukka Aho seems to point the right way.

Keep your eyes peeled though, i've seen a bike painted up and parked in someone's yard in Haaga offering repairs, maybe a local, personal service by an enthusiast might be better and cheaper than going to a shop?

You won't find any places here that will do if for 30e, 50-60e is more likely to be the cheapest if you are only after a 'kuntohulto'.
Then expect to pay more if your bike needs parts replaced.
Or alternatively, learn to do the servicing yourself, it isn't all that hard to do a basic service at home.
