Hello friends ,
I had applied for two courses in TUT, Medical informatics in Biomedical department and Computational System Biology in Signal Processing department. My area of interest is toward imaging and programming related course. I got an admit from Medical Informatics but a reject for Computational system biology course. I am not sure if I should join Medical informatics. Can i work toward signal processing and image processing after going into medical informatics by taking my minor and elective in signal processing and imaging ??
Currently I have two years of working experience in software company in embedded systems and I have a Bachelor degree in bioengineering. I am not sure if I should wait for one more year to continue my higher studies just in a hope that next year I ll get a admit in course of my choice in signal processing department.
Can you also give some idea about how are the chances of getting a job there if someone has a masters with a major in medical informatics ? ?
Anybody from TUT, your advice will be highly appreciated.

Hi, i am a master degree student from TUT. I am actually from IT program, more specifically in Communications engineering (Networks and Protocols). I wonder why didn't you apply directly for IT and then there you can join the signal processing or Multimedia department. But, I guess, once you have accessed TUT, you still can apply within the university to switch fields. You need to get accepted for the international master degrees first

Concerning your medical bioengineering background, I really cannot help much with that or giving advice about finding a job easily.
Good luck though
