Childrens Car Seats for Hire or Sale?Got 'em, thanks

Hi

We are moving to Helsinki on 15th May and will need to get car seats for a 2.5year old and a 6 week old baby.

Finnair & Cathay charge 48eu per kilo for excess baggage between them (lucky them) and so we are looking at whether it is cheaper to buy or maybe hire seats for 2 months whilst our stuff gets here.

So question is can anyone tell me what the price for a middle of the road child seat is to hire or buy? I know that there are load on the market, not looking for a rolls royce model - more a ford mondeo

There are a few child seat hiring places in Sydney, not sure if it is common practice in Finland. Any links to good online baby shops or shop websites would also be very helpful.

Also if you have one (or two) for sale let me know..can only get it after 15 May though!

You could contact Mannerheimin Lastensuojeluliitto via their website www.mll.fi (partly in English). I know that our local chapter has some seats for rent, maybe they do too in the Helsinki area.

Hi, If you plan to rent a car, the car renting places also rent car seats with them.

The price is about 7.00 - 10.00 € / day.

Comparing the rent I think it's worth to buy one if you stay bit longer.
