Thanks for your input blaugrau. The research proposal I'm preparing is for my master's degree which I hope to find a joint supervisor for in Finland next year. It will be comparing the Finnish and Australian work-life balance experience with a focus on government and organisational policy and initiatives. I agree with many of your points though, Finnish language would be crucial for more in depth and emprical research. I can only hope by the time I reach PhD level my Finnish will be sufficient!
