Hello!
I'll be leaving Finland on the 10th of June and now I need to send a package home again, but I'm a bit confused by the Posti pricing.
As far as I can understand from their PDF, the price of a parcel is calculated on either the weight or the volume of the package.
So a 10kg package with a volumetric wight (length * height * width * 250kg/m'3) of 20kg would be charged according to the 20kg rate.
I have a package of about 15kg's, but the volumetric weight is around 27kg. Would this mean that the package would be priced at 27kg?
If so, that means I can fill the package more until I reach 27kg in weight, right?
Regards,
Wout
Posti (/Itella): Sending a parcel
Re: Posti (/Itella): Sending a parcel
It's quite straight forward, actually.

You fill in all the information, including weight (paino) and size of the box (see picture on website) and then you get a price.
I don't know how good your Finnish is, but the lisäpalvelut is sending registered and/or insured for a certain value.
