Residence permit switch with a certificate from Finnish un

Post by maclean2000gh » Sun May 31, 2009 6:09 pm

Hello all
Any ideas or experiences regarding switching from B residence permit to A R. permit? I have just graduated from Finnish University looking for job at the moment in Helsinki area in health sector but because my Finnish skills has not been good it is pretty difficult to find one. I studied degree programme in nursing. All kinds of ideas are welcome particularly about Finnish language, A residence permit and job seeking. Thank you

you cant switch your permit to A if you dont have a job, the best idea is to start learning Finnish, you can try the employment office too, maybe they can help.
If you wish to convince people of something, it is more useful to be entertaining than to be right

You can get a 6 months "looking for work" permit once your student RP runs out. You get A permit only if you find a job, the requirements are less strict as you've graduated here. However you should've studied Finnish in school.
